History

Cape Coral Yacht Basin Area, April 1958

Cape Coral is a relatively new city, with the first homes built in the late 1950's and incorporation following in the 1970. Developed by the Rosen brothers, the canals, streets, and lots were all established simultaneously, sometimes decades before homes were built.

Now it is difficult to find a find a street without a home. Waterfront property was once considered limitless, but not anymore. Showing a consistently high return on investment, all kinds of waterfront in Cape Coral are proving valuable.

Growth and Development

Cape Coral's rapid growth is not about to stop. In addition to the national phenomenon of retiring "baby boomers" and a favorable lending environment, there is a concerted effort on the part of government and business alike to not only grow Cape Coral, but to do so responsibly, toward long term goals.

The City of Cape Coral has multiple programs in place to encourage beautiful, balanced and beneficial growth.
